Zenfone

To reach one step ahead, ASUS placed a Corning’s Gorilla glass 3 making the Asus Zenfone 5 a rough and tough competitor. Though the handsets are manufactured having Android 4.3 Jellybean, but luckily customers not only gets to upgrade the phone into 4.4.2 KitKat but also in the near future, the most discussed Android, lollipop 5 for sure.

Hardware

The most striking incident that made Zenfones one of the top selling phones, all over the world, is the introduction of Intel chipsets in Zenfone series. Yes! The phone features INTEL ATOM Z series microprocessors, distinctly Intel Atom Z2580 with a dual core, but with the addition of Intel’s hyper-threading technology, which makes the phone the beast among all.

The Asus Zenfone 5 is powered by a dual-core 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Processor. The process is placed on a handsome chipset from Intel, the Intel Aton Z2560.

GPU is Power VR SGX544MP2 which is a lucky champ for hardcore gamers! The phone also has a vast 2 GB ram and an 8 GB ROM, and can be extended up to 64 GB which is quite a lot for starting range phones.

Camera

ASUS fascinatingly caught the huge craze of phone camera that has presently devoured the society with random selfies and all! So they rebuilt positioned their own PIXEL MASTER TECHNOLOGY in the 8 MP camera which shoots 3264 x 2448 pixels with autofocus and LED flash. Along with it, they introduced certain extra features of which the “depth of field” and “selfie” modes deserve special mention!

Though the camera has 720p resolution, but it can record 1080p HD videos which are amazing!

Other Features

The phone features such as Bluetooth 4.0 GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, FM radio, WiFi hotspots, Geo-tagging, face detection, Java support, and tons of other features. Sensors like Accelerometer, proximity, compass are also present.
The one lagging features that might  let the phone fluff a little is its 2110 mAh battery which is quite small juice for such a huge beast!

Verdict

Being Asus Zenfone 5 user myself, I would definitely suggest people to go for it. With a starting range price and having premium features it is hard to find a match, especially in the Android market. About the lollipop update, it’s presumed that ASUS is definitely going to find a fix for the battery draining problem!
